Demetriades & Son has grown into a multifaceted company. This has been achieved by importing and distributing the highest quality products, by seeking revolutionary international materials, thus enabling the company to become a one stop shop for buildings and homes. D.C. Demetriades Ltd initially employed three people. Throughout the years it grew and evolved to the size it is today, with the number of people amounting to eighty. The headquarters of the company with its showrooms in Engomi, Nicosia cover a plot area of 3,500m². The main warehouse is located in Dali industrial area, in a plot of 40,000m² with covered areas of 10,000 m². The company specialises in the import and distribution of quality building materials, thriving to offer optimal solutions to customers through continual efforts in the search for new and revolutionary materials in the international marketplace. This is further supported by the close relationship maintained between the company and its suppliers. Materials imported by D. C. Demetriades Ltd include the following: reinforcing steel bars, timber, wooden floors, tiles, roof tiles, glass blocks, sanitary ware, thermal & acoustic insulation materials, gypsum boards and an extensive range of technical products. Most of the above are displayed at our showroom in Engomi, Nicosia. Our mission is to keep supplying the Cypriot market with the finest materials whilst ensuring our company continues to grow in all fields.
The company D.C. Demetriades Ltd has decided that, from 01/01/2024, it will annually allocate a percentage equal to 0.1% of its sales to “Filoptochos Adelfotis Ayion Omoloyiton”. Filoptochos is a charitable non-profit organization, founded in 1935 with registration number 5 by Anna Drousiotou Shukuroglou and since then it has been next to our fellow citizens. It also helps needy, single-parent and large families with food stamps, paying utility bills, supporting student fees and patient medical expenses, thus offering love and relief. Also, since 1999, Filoptochos has been operating “Melathro Agapis” a big project with the possibility of caring for 39 people by employing 26 persons. The aim is to offer better living to our seniors with love and safety.
In accordance with TÜV AUSTRIA procedures, it is hereby certified that D.C. Demetriades Ltd applies a Management System in line with the below Standards for the following Scope
MAIN WAREHOUSE & DISTRIBUTION CENTRE:
- Processing and trading of timber & timber products and construction steel
- Trading of ceramic tiles, parquet, sanitary ware, roof tiles, grouting, rendering mortars, thermo acoustic insulation products, dry-wall panels and accessories, facades & HPL and other construction material
- Installation of decking, parquet flooring and HPL
HEAD OFFICES, SHOWROOM AND WAREHOUSE:
- Trading of timber & timber products, ceramic tiles, parquet, sanitary ware, roof tiles, grouting, rendering mortars, thermo acoustic insulation products, dry-wall panels and accessories, facades & HPL and other construction materials.
- Installation of decking, parquet flooring and HPL.
These certifications were conducted in accordance with TÜV AUSTRIA auditing and certification procedures and are subject to regular surveillance audits.
